Lisa Burke


Lisa is a founding Partner and the President of Essex Management. Lisa comes from a background in software engineering and has been involved in the staffing and resourcing industry for over 20 years. As a successful entrepreneur, Lisa has created, built, and managed, several companies in the information technology, clinical research, and staffing industries. Lisa attended Bryant University of Smithfield, RI, where she earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems.


David Loose

Vice President, Business Development and Operations

David is a Partner and the Vice President of Essex Management. As an experienced leader of large scale IT projects and a life sciences industry subject matter expert, David provides strategic management for Essex. David works closely with our customers to understand their needs and develop service models that provide value and business impact in the context of customer need. David holds a Bachelors in Mathematics and Computer Science from Lewis and Clark College and is an active member of many life-sciences IT industry organizations including HIMSS, DIA, and ISCB.


Michael Hotchkiss

Recruiting Manager

Michael is a human resources professional with 9 years of experience in recruiting. Michael leads day-to-day recruitment for Essex and is the primary account management interface for our candidates and client hiring managers. Michael also provides consultative guidance on organization development, HR strategy, and resourcing models for Essex projects. Michael holds a Masters in Organization Development (MOD) from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelors in Psychology / Criminal Justice from the University of Connecticut.


Samuel Isa

Business Development Lead and Recruiter

Samuel has worked in the recruiting industry for over 5 years as an account manager and recruiter. He has a diverse background in sales, business development, and IT project management. He has provided direct recruiting support for Essex’s clients for over 2 years. Samuel holds a Bachelors in Economics from Connecticut College.
